Vigilant locals foil burglary attempt in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 18: A young man was apprehended by alert residents after he was caught red-handed entering the house of Munna Kumar Sah near Sankosai Tirki Maidan, under Ulidih police station, on Sunday. The incident unfolded when the residents immediately informed the police, who promptly arrived at the scene and took the youth into custody. The suspect, identified as Vijay, was subsequently taken to the police station for further investigation. Additionally, the motorcycle belonging to the accused was recovered from outside Munna’s house.

According to Munna Sah, who was present at home during the incident, a young man on a bike arrived in the afternoon and climbed over the wall of his house to gain unauthorized entry. Inside the house, the intruder attempted to steal a masala grinding machine and was in the process of taking it away. However, Munna noticed the theft in progress and raised an alarm. In an attempt to flee, the thief was apprehended by Munna and other residents. Munna Sah revealed that this was not the first incident of theft at his house, as a motor had been stolen previously. The swift response from the vigilant residents and their cooperation with the authorities ensured the successful capture of the suspect, preventing the burglary from taking place.
