Jamshedpur, Aug 23: SDSM School for Excellence celebrated a decade of its flagship inter-school event Blaze on Saturday, hosting a mega cultural and academic fest on the theme “Sustainable Environment.” Nearly 800 students from 30 city schools participated in the day-long event.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Principal Moushumi Das, who in her address emphasized the spirit of participation. “It is not about winning or losing; it is recognition of the intermingling of systems and emotions. Learning never stops,” she remarked.
To commemorate the ten-year journey, a souvenir capturing memories and milestones was released by the Principal along with dignitaries. Former chief guests and judges associated with Blaze from 2016 to 2024 were also felicitated for their contributions.
Students showcased their creativity and enthusiasm across competitions, making the event a resounding success. The Overall Champions Trophy was claimed by Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Telco, while Vivek Vidyalaya, Govindpur secured the Runner-Up position.
The event saw continued participation from schools like AIWC Academy of Excellence, Baridih High School, Tarapore School and others, strengthening Blaze’s legacy. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks followed by the National Anthem.
