Jamshedpur, Aug 23: A special session on Lean Startup and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) was organized on Saturday at RVS College of Engineering and Technology for the Mechanical Engineering students. The session was conducted by Akash Sharma, founder of Freak Engineer and a young entrepreneur, who introduced the students to the dynamics of startups and product innovation.
Addressing the gathering, Sharma explained how entrepreneurs can validate a business model within a short time and with limited resources by applying the Lean Startup methodology. He elaborated on the different stages of the approach and stressed that MVP provides the fastest route to market entry. “An MVP allows startups to test their idea quickly, gather valuable feedback from users and improve the product according to market demands,” he said, encouraging students to embrace adaptability in entrepreneurship.
The session ended with an interactive discussion where students shared their ideas and gained motivation to explore startup opportunities. Professor Shailendra Kumar Prasad, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, appreciated the initiative, remarking, “Such events are highly beneficial for students and we will continue to organize more motivational programs in the future.”
The program left students inspired and reinforced the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship on campus
