Jamshedpur: In a shocking incident from the Azad Nagar area of Mango, a policeman was caught on camera slapping two scooter riders for not wearing helmets. The video, which went viral on social media on Wednesday, has sparked outrage among locals.
The footage clearly shows the policeman stepping out of a shop and stopping the riders. The first individual, who was traveling with his sister, was asked about the ownership of the vehicle and why he wasn’t wearing a helmet. He explained that he was heading home nearby and had forgotten to wear it. Despite his explanation, the policeman slapped him.
Soon after, another scooter rider was stopped and asked the same question. As soon as he responded, the policeman delivered such a hard slap that his mobile phone fell to the ground.
The incident has angered residents of Jamshedpur, with many questioning the policeman’s authority to resort to physical violence. Social media users are demanding that senior police officials take strict action against the accused officer.
