Jamshedpur, March 18: Independent legislator from Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency, Saryu Roy has said, “Before accusing me, BJP leader Abhay Singh should have verified the truth. I have already urged food and Civil Supplies Minister Dr Rameshwar Oraon and the departmental secretary Arun Kumar Singh to call and show the relevant files to the person who has leveled accusations against me when I held the portfolio while I was state Minister. Whenever such complaints were leveled against me during my tenure in office, I used to summon the complainant and show him the relevant papers.”
Saryu Roy, in retaliation citing an instance said, “Whenever there was a newspaper report of Abhay Singh encroaching a plot of land allotted for the purpose of constructing a public toilet, he lost his cool and became vengeful. I have no doubt that a former leader has been instigating Abhay Singh and others against me. I believe, that leader should come forward. He should have the guts to ask the Minister and secretary of the department to present the files and clear his own name first.”
The Jamshedpur East legislator suggested to Abhay Singh to contact the Minister concerned and the Secretary to evaluate the allegations he had leveled against the MLA. “Otherwise, Abhay Singh should seek public apology,” Roy said.
