Ramgarh: Vehicle sales in Jharkhand witnessed a significant rise of 16.91% in January 2025, with 46,792 units sold compared to 40,025 units in January 2024, according to Govind P. Mewar, Chairperson of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association, Jharkhand Chapter.
Two-wheeler sales led the growth, registering a 15.62% increase with 35,449 units sold. Three-wheelers saw a 7.72% rise with 2,066 units, while commercial vehicles grew by 11.07% to 1,906 units. The biggest jump was in passenger vehicles, up 25.34% to 6,282 units, compared to 5,012 units last year. Tractor sales also saw a massive 51.67% increase, reaching 1,089 units.
Mewar attributed this remarkable growth to new model launches, higher demand for personal vehicles during weddings and economic progress in rural areas. “The surge in sales reflects strong consumer confidence and a thriving automobile market in Jharkhand, outpacing national figures,” he noted.
