VBDA organises blood donation awareness generation camp

Jamshedpur, Feb. 27: Voluntary Blood Donors Association (VBDA) organised a one-day blood donation awareness generation camp for Zilla Parishad members and Mukhiyas of Singhbhum East and West at Jamshedpur Blood Bank Auditorium.

In her inaugural speech Ms. Nalini Ramamurthy, Secretary of Jamshedpur Blood Bank (JBB) highly praised the contribution put in by the Voluntary Blood Donors Association towards raising awareness and motivating public at large for blood donation. She assured that like previous years, Jamshedpur Blood Bank will continue to extend all kinds of help in the campaign lodged by the VBDA.

Rajkumar Singh, vice-chairperson of Zilla Parishad and member Kishore Yadav spoke highly of VBDA and assured all kinds of help. Mr. Yadav requested all the Mukhiyas to take initiative to organize Blood Donation Camps in their areas and said that when they will be in a position to hand over the blood coupons to the needy persons, it will give satisfaction which is unique.

During the workshop session Chandreswar Khan, vice-chairman, VBDA, spoke on the importance of coming forward and giving leadership in educating and motivating people at Panchayat level.

Sanjay Choudhury of JBB enlightened the participants on the Safe Blood Donation and various techniques adopted in securing banking of blood.

A Group Discussion took place among the participants where Kishore Yadav, Rajkumar Singh, Bahamani Hembram, Saraswati Tudu, Shankari Murmu, Ninu Kudada, Sumi Kerai, Khatri Sirka, Rina Jarika, Anima Minz, Jamuna Hansda, Sabita Murmu, Mayabati Tudu, Singo Murmu etc. � All Mukhiyas of their respective villages.

Deula Murmu, Sunu Soy � Memebers Panchayat Samiti were present. Dignitaries present on the occasion were Sunil Mukherjee, Chandreswar Khan, Pradip Ghosal of VBDA and Sanjay Choudhury of Jamshedpur Blood Bank were present.

S. K. Singh, Vice President of VBDA tendered vote of thanks to all the stakeholders who have come forward to help them.
