Jamshedpur, Sep 26: BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar organized ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ programme under the Seva Pakhwara (Service Fortnight), a celebration of PM Modi’s birthday, at Surya Mandir, Sidhgora, on Monday.

The chief guest of the occasion was the BJP national vice president and former Chief Minister Raghubar Das. Addressing party workers, he said unity in diversity was the main theme of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ programme. He said there was great diversity in the 130 crore population of India and all citizens represent a rich variety of culture, religion and various practices.

“The people of this country respect each other’s sentiments and celebrate each other’s festivals too. They live together with the feeling of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam which is the soul of Indian culture. This is the real beauty of our country which is not found or seen anywhere else,” said Das.

Also present on this occasion was the MP of Jamshedpur, Bidyut Baran Mahato. He said such programmes demonstrate the rich diversity of India and they promote cultural brotherhood and harmony. He said the Sanatan Dharma of India sees the entire world as a family. PM Modi is working in the direction of making India “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.

District BJP president Gunjan Yadav led party workers to celebrate the cultural and culinary legacy of Indian culture. Party workers wore traditional clothes and offered home-cooked delicacies to Goddess Durga on this occasion.
