Jamshedpur, Sep 26: A delegation of members of Telco Workers Union led by vice president Akash Dubey and member Harshvardhan met East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav on Monday and handed over a memorandum to her. The members demanded that the long pending election of Telco Workers Union be conducted soon as the most awaited decision of Division Bench of Jharkhand High Court on the election issue had come.
Dubey said the Division Bench had refused to interfere with the earlier order of the Single Bench of Jharkhand High Court on the issue of conducting the union elections. He said now the district administration should conduct the elections as per the earlier order of the Single Bench.
The Single Bench had passed its order in 2017. The order was appealed in the Division Bench.
