Jamshedpur, Feb 2: A pick-up van carrying LPG cylinders rammed into a car between Sai temple and Bhootnath temple in Sonari on Thursday. The incident occurred in the afternoon. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

The van and the car collided head-on. The incident sent other commuters into a panicky situation. Sonari police reached the scene and seized both vehicles. They said an investigation was on to identify the errant driver.

Old woman injured in road accident
Jamshedpur, Feb 2: An old woman, identified as Shakuntala Devi, resident of Tamulia, was injured after being knocked down by an unknown vehicle near Mango bus stand roundabout under Sitaramdera police station area on Thursday. She was helped by two Karim City College students Sameeksha Nayak and Afifa who informed police about the incident. Police took the victim to MGM Hospital and informed her family about the incident. The victim was taken to her home after treatment.
