Valley View School celebrates Independence Day

Jamshedpur, Aug. 16: The 71st Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Valley View School on August 15.

The ceremony started at 8:00 am in the school ground with Staff, Students and Parents. The theme of the day was ‘Incredible India’.

To commemorate the sovereignty of the nation the Principal Alka Arivnd Kumar unfurled the National Flag and all in unison sang the national anthem and expressed the joy of our Freedom.

The President of the Student Council, Abhipsa Swan paid rich tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for this independence. She also highlighted the role of the students in nation building.

The Principal, Alka Arvind Kumar in her Independence Day speech urged the students to be a role model in all walks of life and spread peace and harmony among mankind. She also wished everyone on the Independence Day.

The Students took pledge to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Quit India Movement.

They pledged to free India from poverty, dirt, corruption, terrorism, casteism, and communalism and create a new India of their dreams.

On the occasion a cultural programme consisting of choral recitation, miming and patriotic song followed.
