Jamshedpur: One thousand students of Netaji Subhas Public School (NSPS) at Haldipokhar under Potka Block were vaccinated for protection against measles rubella. The target is to vaccinate 71 thousand rural children in villages under Potka Block. Mass awareness campaigns are being carried out in all the villages in the Block to achieve the target.
Measles including the German type are brought under control through MR vaccines. Children between the age groups of 9 months and 15 years are vaccinated.
The measles rubella eradication drive commenced in the district on July 26.
