Upgraded cabins, medical wards inaugurated at TMH

Jamshedpur, Oct. 24: Tata Steel (India and SEA) managing director Mr. T. V. Narendran inaugurated the renovated and upgraded new cabins and medical wards at Old Block of the TMH on Saturday. Mr. R Ravi Prasad, president, Tata Workers� Union (TWU) was present on the occasion.

The newly renovated medical wards (6B & 7A) will now be fully air-conditioned and have HDU (High Dependency Unit) and ICU for managing critical patients. This feature will also reduce the load from current HDU & ICU wards. The renovated and upgraded new cabins will also feature four rooms on twin sharing basis.

The function was attended by Mr. Sunil Bhaskaran, Vice-President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, senior doctors of TMH, members of Tata Workers� Union and employees of Tata Steel. Dr G Ramdas, GM (Medical Services), took the guests around the new facilities available at the location.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Narendran said, �I congratulate the Tata Main Hospital team for doing a wonderful job in past several years. The upgraded cabins and medical wards is the result of the hard work put in by the team. The challenge is to maintain it in the same manner.

We also want the society to support TMH so that we can provide better service to the community. I am sure the renovated wards will help in providing better facilities.�
