Saraikela, Sept 29: A review meeting of the PM Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojna and Ayushman Yojna was held at the district collectorate office. It was chaired by the Saraikela-Kharsawan Deputy Commissioner A Dodde. Shram Shakti Abhiyan is being conducted in the district since September 25 and will continue till October 2 and is aimed to ensure all round development of the workers engaged in unorganized sectors.
The unorganized sector workers include cleaners, domestic helps, rickshaw pullers, push cart vendors, taxi and auto drivers, drapers, barbers, tailors, cobblers, MNREGA workers, potters and others engaged in similar work who will be enrolled in the schemes free of cost. The Labour and Training Department provides such workers with social security benefits.
This free of cost registration is available for unorganized sector workers in the age groups of 18 to 59 years. As per this program registered workers in the age brackets of 18 to 50 years are provided the benefits of PM Suraksha Bima Yojna and PM Jivan Bima Yojna. The workers of this sector are eligible for CM scholarship program for their children that provides between Rs 250 and Rs 8,000. The children of the workers are provided training under Kaushal Vikas Yojna. The women workers are given incentives of Rs 15,000 each for two child births.
The DC instructed all departmental heads concerned to ensure registration of workers in the social security scheme. The registration forms are available in all Panchayats of the district.
