Jamshedpur, April 5: In a bold move, Dhalbhum SDO Parul Singh orchestrated a surprise raid at dance bar in Royal Hills Hotel and Resort on NH-33 in Mango Dimna on Thursday night, resulting in the apprehension of 10 girls. The raid uncovered illicit dance performances being conducted without proper licensing. This marks a significant crackdown by the administration on unlicensed dance bars, with a substantial number of bar girls caught red-handed for the first time.

Acting on undisclosed intelligence, Dhalbhum SDO Parul Singh, accompanied by her bodyguard Ritesh and employee Dalpati, arrived at the bar disguised as ordinary customers around 9 pm. Their unassuming demeanor enabled them to blend seamlessly into the environment, with no suspicion aroused. Engaging the waiter, they ordered food and beverages, including beer, initiating a covert operation that swiftly unveiled the unlawful activities within the premises.

Within half an hour, upon signalling the police force stationed nearby, law enforcement swiftly converged on the location, dismantling the dance bar racket. The raid yielded the confiscation of 400 bottles of foreign liquor, numerous beer bottles, empty containers, and 10 hookahs from the illegal establishment. Additionally, 10 bar girls and a bouncer were apprehended and escorted to the police station for interrogation.

Efforts are underway to file an FIR against the owner, manager, and bar girls of the dance bar at Mango police station. The arrival of the police prompted a brief commotion within the bar, resulting in a minor stampede. Despite the chaos, several bouncers managed to evade capture, with one apprehended individual claiming residency in Ranchi.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the arrested bar girls hailed from West Bengal and Maharashtra, indicating interstate involvement in the illicit operation. It was discerned that the girls would commute to the establishment from their respective states, facilitated by local liaisons. Legal action is imminent against the hotel owner, manager, and implicated individuals for their involvement in illegal business practices and liquor distribution.
