Union Minister Arjun Munda attacks Congress for misleading farmers over Agriculture Bills

Jamshedpur, Oct 5: Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda on Sunday said that the Congress party is misleading the farmers over the issue of agriculture bills passed in the parliament.

Addressing a press conference at the local Circuit House, he said farmers of the country are happy with the bill as they will be benefitted out of it however parties like Congress are misleading the farmers over the issue. He said, before bringing the bill the government had collected the opinion of the farmers and even from the Congress ruled states.

Munda further said: �Even when the Congress is in power, it still misleads the public, now that it is out of power, it is also misleading the public. The fact is that this was the subject of the Congress agenda too, but it has been passed under the leadership of the BJP�.

Munda said that farmers will get many benefits after the Agriculture Bills are approved. The PM’s dream is an important step towards doubling farmers’ income. Farmers will be strong enough to sell their grains anywhere. In lieu of this, farmers will not have to pay any tax to the state or central government. If the farmers want, they can sell their grain in the mandi too. If they get more price than the MSP in the open market, they will still be free. The Prime Minister believes that farmers should not move with kindness, but with encouragement, the work that the BJP government is doing�.

On the question of resignation by the associate minister of the Union Cabinet on Agriculture Bill, Minister Munda said that political freedom is for everyone. But they too now realize this that everyone is welcoming this bill. He said that all parties may have different agendas, but BJP always works on the agenda of the country.

On Bihar assembly elections, he said that the NDA government will be formed again under the leadership of the current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Everyone has appreciated the development model of Bihar, so the people there are with Nitish Kumar, he will become the chief minister again.
