Jamshedpur, July 14: An unidentified body was discovered on Monday morning along the banks of the Swarnarekha River, near Road No. 5 in the Mango police station area. The body was first spotted by local fishermen, who immediately alerted the police.
The body was recovered and sent for postmortem. Police are currently working to identify the deceased by checking missing person reports in nearby police stations.
Locals gathered near the riverbank following the discovery. Police say the cause of death—whether suicide, accident, or murder—would only be confirmed after the postmortem report. Investigations were going on from all possible angles.
