UCIL union intensifies demands for better pay

Jamshedpur, Aug 19: An urgent meeting of Uranium Kamgaar Union was convened at the union office in Jadugora on Monday. It was chaired by the union president Vyas Tiwary. It was unanimously decided to raise the demand for 20 per cent mining allowance and a one-time payment of Durga Puja bonus. The monthly allowance should be calculated as 18 per cent of the basic salary, the members said.

Tiwary further said the union office-bearers decided to demand additional increments, housing rent allowance at the rate of eight per cent and other retirement benefits.

The meeting was attended by VK Patole, Rajaram, Gurucharan Hansda, Rameshwar Mardi, Bharat Lal Kisku and Sandeep Sahu.
