Jadugoda, Sep 15: Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) management distributed 800 saplings among school children in Jadugoda with an aim to create awareness on environment conservation among them.
The saplings were distributed in a function conducted by Narwa Ladies Club. The chief guest of the programme was Archana Ghare.
She spoke about the significance of trees and their impact on environment. She said that trees helped us get free oxygen from the atmosphere. Without trees, life cannot be imagined, she said. She called on children to plant saplings and save trees to save humanity.
Among others present at the function included additional manager of UCIL PK Nayak, JMM leader Roreya Soren, DN Singh and Gajia Hansda.
