Jamshedpur, September 15: General Offices ‘A’ won the Inter Divisional Badminton Championship for lady employees held at Badminton Training Center Hall, JRD Tata Sports Complex.
General Offices ‘A’ beat General Offices ‘B’ ‘by 2 sets to 0 while for the third place match HRM ‘A’ beat Shared Services ‘A’ ‘by 2 sets to 0. The championship was organised by the sports Department of Tata Steel from 14th to 15th September 2016.
This was the third events of Inter Divisional Championship of 2016 – 2017 season. All 12 units including RMD, Shared Services, Iron Making, Long Products, Flat Products, General Offices, TMH, Profit Center, Security, ITS, HRM and TSK, Kalinganagar participated.
S K Srivastava, A K Gupta, P Mohan Rao, Amit Modak and L K Mishra were the officials and conducted the entire matches of the above championships.
Chief Guest for the final was Bagicha Singh, Sr. Coach, Tata Steel distributed the prizes.
On the occasion Gurbari Hembram, Merlyn F Anklesaria, Adrija Moitra, Jamuna Kumari, Rashee, P Manisha, Jyoti Bhengra, G Rekha, Shobharani Hansda, Unit Representatives were present on the occasion.
Avinash Kumar, Manager Sports conducted the entire event and was supported by Hassan Imam, Ajit Singh, Firoz, Renu Bhaduirya, Punam, Arun Sinha, Ravi Barua and his team of Staffs’.
