UCIL Colony gets ready for a grand Kali Puja

Jadugoda: A grand pandal has been constructed for the Kali Puja in Jadugoda. It has been built under the aegis of Sri Sri Sarvajanik Kali Puja Committee in Nepali Para, UCIL Colony.

Social activist Tikki Mukhi is leading the puja. The committee has been organizing Kali Puja here since 1974. Earlier, 10 incarnations of Goddess Kali was worshipped at the puja pandal built by the committee.

This year a grand idol of Goddess Kali is being prepared. The idol is five feet high.

The pandal is based on the model of a temple situated in Kolkata. The committee members include Rakesh Sharma, Tipu Das, Shiva, Sangram Singh, Aneet Singh, Ajay Mukhi, Dhananjay Prajapati and Prakash Bhakta.
