Jamshedpur, Aug 5: At a time when deaths and infections due to COVID spread are having devastating effects worldwide, Saikat Dey, a Std XII student of UCIL Central School has invented a cap that will activate a siren if the eyes, nose or mouth are touched. He has named it Corona Alert Cap. At present, he has made three such gadgets and, as Saikat himself said, if he gets financial support he could make them in sufficient quantities for health workers on the Corona front. Saikat Dey has already made automatic sanitizer dispensing machines and sanitizers. The entire UCIL belt is now eagerly awaiting the governments notice on the students invention.

Saikats sister Shilpa Dutta said that her entire family was proud of her brothers innovative mind. He will be a source of the countrys enhanced prestige as a big scientist, she observed. The young genius mother Amrajita informed, Saikat had an ingenious mind science childhood. He used to make things out of scrap. We shall spare no pain to see our sons aspirations flowering.

Saikats father runs a hotel business in Narwa Pahads UCIL Colony. They stay in Subhash Colony near the railway station.
