U-19 I league: Udanta shines again as TFA beat Shillong Lajong 2-1

Jamshedpur, April 25: Skipper Udanta Singh came to the rescue once again as Tata Football Academy beat Shillong Lajong F.C by 2-1 in the match played at JRD Tata Sports Complex ground on Friday in the U-19 I league. After the ending the first half of the game 0-0 both the teams started attacking in the second half from the very starting.

TFA�s Udanta drew the first blood by a counter attack from half way line a clear placement in the 50th minute to give hosts a 1-0 lead. Udanta�s solo effort in the 64th minutes again, dribbled two defender and he kicked powerfully over the advancing GK to give TFA 2-0 lead.

In the 77th minute Lalrammuana of Shillong Lajong cross from right, went to left wing and he gave parallel to him J.No-22 who placed in an empty goal to make it 2-1 for the visitors. It will not be wrong if we say that evenly matched teams played attacking football. With this win, TFA is in the first position with 7 points while the Lajong Juniors are in the 5th position with 3 points earned from two matches. Shillong Lajong will play their next match on the 27th of April against AIFF Navi Mumbai Academy. TFA play their next game on Sunday, April 27.

SESA Goa and Navi Mumbai win
In other match played at JRD stadium Sesa Goa beat Hindustan FC by 7-1 where Stephen scored four goals while Olivin scored a hat-trick for the Goan side. Tilak Subba scored the single goal from Hindutan FC side.

In another match played at Keenan stadium AIFF colts Navi Mumbai beat East Bengal by 3-2. Gursimraj, Milan and Bidyananda scored for the Mumbai side while Jiten and Somnath scored for the Bengal side, it was a good attacking and competative football on display.
