Loyola School felicitates juniors at glittering prize nite

Jamshedpur, April 25 :Friday evening at the Loyola School around 180 students competed for prizes in the Junior Section of the 58th Annual Prize Nite for the academic year 2013-14. It was a formal ceremony felicitating those students who have labored hard and excelled in every sphere of school life.

The Master of Ceremony for the evening, Sonia Raisurana addressed the gathering, the felicitation of the two jubilarians, Agnes Boyle and Sharanjeet Suri, followed by the prize distribution. The honours were done by Fr. CL George, the two jubilarians, Dr. Mrs. Pinky Midha, and the special awards were given away by the principal, Fr. Sebestian Puthenpura.

The students were awarded rolling trophies, certificates and cash prizes under various categories such as those for the cubs and the proficiency awards for standard five for their exceptional performance in English, Hindi Mathematics, computers and public speaking. Sandeep Kamath bagged the prizes for English and computers, Shristi Sinha for Hindi and Mathematics and Soumalya Bhowmick for Public Speaking.

Vanshika of standard 4 and Shristi Sinha of standard 5 were awarded special proficiency awards specially for the girl child. The most coveted of them all the Chitrajeet Ghosh trophy was awarded to Anshuman Panda and the SP Dubey memorial trohy was bagged by Arghya Mohanty, the awards were given by Principal of the school, Fr. Sebastian who also extended the vote of thanks.
