Jamshedpur: Even as the election date of Tata Workers Union has been announced a section of the committee members seemed to be at a loss for not having adequate information of model code of conduct.
On Thursday a delegation of TWU committee members reached the DC office and submitted a memorandum addressed to the ADC cum poll officer on nitty-gritty of model code of conduct which has been enforced on February 9. The delegation included among others Nitish Raj, Jay Prakash, Avnesh, Kanhaiya Singh and Anil Kumar.
The union leaders said that model code of conduct has been enforced for the first time for the union election this time and hand not been come into force in earlier elections.
Therefore, they said, the administration must hold camps to educate the union members and the candidates in fray on the details of model code of conduct. It would help to conduct the election in a free and fair manner.
