Tata Steel Commemorates Birth Anniversary of Baba Tilka Manjhi

Jamshedpur: Tata Steel Tribal Cultural Society in association with Tilka Memorial Society, Matladih organised a cultural event to commemorate the 265th Birth Anniversary of Baba Tilka Manjhi at Tilka Stadium, Matladih, Jamshedpur on February 11, 2015.

The event witnessed tribal dance performances by artists from Jhnikpani, Birsanagar, Chakulia as well as a musical performance featuring traditional Santhali and Ho songs.

The cultural event also showcased a play �Siling-Shoot� based on the life of Baba Tilka Manjhi by Maidi�s Artist Association.

Biren Bhuta, Chief, Corporate Social Responsibility, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mrs Urmila Ekka, Hony Secretary, Tribal Cultural Society and team members were present. Traditional leaders like Majhi babas from places like Matladih, Ranidih, Nagadih, Jaganathpur also attended the event.
