Jamshedpur: Police Thursday arrested two youths, identified as Akash and Shubham, for allegedly carrying a pistol and bullet in Adityapur (Seraikela-Kharsawan). The pistol and bullet were recovered from the dicky of a scooter belonging to one of the youths.
Police sources said the accused persons were caught on the main road leading to NIT Jamshedpur on the basis of a tip-off. The two told police they had gone to Aditya Garden to meet a friend. Their friend asked them to give the scooter to him for a while. After some time, he returned the scooter. Later, while returning the youths were caught by police. Cops found the arms kept under the pillion. They seized the vehicle and lodged an FIR under Arms Act.
