Jamshedpur, Nov 10: Two youths snatched a woman’s purse in Sakchi Bazaar area on Friday morning and were trying to flee the spot on their scooter parked on the opposite side of the road. The woman’s shrieks attracted the passersby who immediately intercepted the two snatchers and assaulted them. The Tiger Mobile Squad reached the spot and took away the two youths to the Sakchi police station for interrogation.
The two youths nabbed were Monu Pramanik, a resident of Mango Gurudwara Road and Govind Ghosh. According to information, the incident occurred on Friday evening. The woman had come to Sakchi Bazaar for shopping when the two youths approached from behind, snatched her purse, and tried to escape on their scooter that had been parked on the other side of the road. People gathered as they heard the woman’s shout and caught the culprits while they were attempting to escape.
