Seraikela: Police rescued two girls of Seraikela from the clutches of human traffickers in New Delhi. The victims, both from Mahadevpur, Sini, were recovered by the police. They were brought to Seraikela by the local police with the help of New Delhi police.
The superintendent of police, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Madan Mohan Lal said one of the girls was recovered from the house of one VK Dhawan from Saket, New Delhi, on 16th May last.
Another girl was recovered from Rishikesh on 18th May last. She was working as a domestic help in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in the house of one Sumit Bajaj. After a week, Bajaj sent the girl to Rishikesh to work in the house of his father-in-law, the SP said.
Police have registered cases against Dhawan and Bajaj on charges of involvement in human trafficking. They said both girls had set out of their houses together on 6th March last. They did not return even after several days.
Cops have arrested one Priyanka Munda and Jema Bodra in this connection. One more person VK Dhawan is an accused in this case.
