Ranchi: Members of Secretariat Employees Confederation staged a demonstration before Nepal House on Tuesday to protest government proposal to increase the number of official workdays from five to six.
The outfit general secretary Dhruv Kumar said the government should not experiment so frequently with the Secretariat staff and their work conditions.
He said the government should realize that the Secretariat staff are neither guinea pigs nor staff of a laboratory.
He said the government had earlier reduced the number of workdays in a week to five from six. Now the government is again planning to go back to the old decision on weekdays, he said.
