Jamshedpur, Oct 16: Two tragic incidents of suicide came to light on Thursday in different parts of Jamshedpur, prompting police investigations.

The first case occurred at Punjabi Line in the Mango police station area.

A 41-year-old man, Amrit Pal Singh, was found hanging in his home around 10 a.m.

Neighbours discovered the body and immediately alerted the authorities.

According to reports, Singh had been married twice, but both marriages ended in separation.

After the passing of his mother in February this year, he reportedly fell into deep depression and was struggling with alcoholism. Police have seized evidence from the scene and initiated a detailed investigation.

The second incident took place in Muckdumpur Road No-2 under the Parsudih police station.

A 20-year-old labourer, who had been working at Sultan Seth’s residence for the past 20 days, was found hanging in his room.

When he did not emerge in the morning, the homeowner broke open the door and discovered the body.

Police retrieved the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. The station in-charge stated that preliminary investigations suggest suicide, though all aspects are being thoroughly examined.

Both cases have left the local community in shock, and authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
