Maid flees with jewellery worth several lakhs in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 16: In a shocking theft, a housemaid reportedly fled with jewelry worth several lakhs from the residence of Babli Gorai in Kadma.

Babli Gorai, a widow whose husband Manoranjan Gorai passed away several years ago, resides at Sri Krishna Complex on Uliyan Road in Kadma.

According to police, the theft occurred between October 3 and October 12. Acting on Babli Gorai’s complaint, the Kadma police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the housemaid and are actively investigating the case.

Kadma police station officials stated that a search is underway, and further action will be taken as the investigation progresses.

Two youths held with arms

Raja Singh of Anand Vihar Colony and Rahul Kumar Singh of Dimna, both from the MGM police jurisdiction, were sent to jail after being caught with illegal firearms.

Local sources reported that the two were involved in an assault on Palasbani’s head representative, Sufal Singh, following a dispute over vehicle movement.

The MGM police confirmed that the matter is under investigation, and further legal proceedings are underway.
