Saraikela, Aug 20: Two new coronavirus positive cases were detected in Saraikela Block on Wednesday, August 19. This prompted the administration to create containment zones in Manik Bazaar village under Intakudar panchayat and Dungridih in Dugni panchayat.
Deputy Commissioner Iqbal Alam Ansari has ordered that the two villages be made containment zones and all necessary steps are being taken. In view of the increased rate of COVID infections, the DC has given additional charge of Incident Commander to the Saraikela Block BDO. A 24 hour helpline has been initiated in the Block office in which officers and staff will perform rotational duties.
