Saraikela, Aug 21: The Swachh Sarvekshan Award ceremony conducted on virtual mode was organized for viewing at the Saraikela Nagar Panchayat Town Hall. The Swachh Bharat Programme is an ambitious project of the Government of India to ensure cleanliness and amicable environmental conditions in the country. The virtual programme for announcing the Awards of Swachh Survey for the year 2020 was presided by Central Minister of State for Urban Development, Hardeep Singh Puri, Secretary of the ministry Durga Shankar Mishra and National Mission Director DK Jindal.
Strict social distancing protocol was maintained among the audience in the Town Hall. Those present on the occasion included Saraikela Nagar panchayat president Minakshi Pattanaik, vice president Manoj Kumar Chowdhary, Executive Officer Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Ward Parshad of Ward 9 Varun Sahu, Ward 11 Anjali Roy, Ward 7 Savita Pattanaik, City Managers Mahesh Jarika and Sumit Suman and staff of MSW, PMC, hygiene workers and members of SHGs.
