Two Naxalites, including TSPC Area Commander, apprehended in Jharkhand

Chatra: In a significant achievement, the Chatra Police in Jharkhand has successfully apprehended two Naxalites, including the area commander of Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC), Neeraj Ganjhu alias Jai Mangal, and active member Dhaneshwar Karmali alias Dhela alias DK. The arrests took place in the Beit Barwadih forest, where the police team acted swiftly, ensuring the safety of the community.

Neeraj Ganjhu, identified as the area commander, and Dhaneshwar Karmali, an active member, both hail from Barvatola Betin village in the Piparwar police station area. The police operation resulted in the seizure of a cache of weapons and other incriminating items from the militants.

The recovered items include one country-made carbine, one 7.62 mm American pistol, one country-made pistol, five live bullets, a letter pad belonging to TSPC, a mobile phone, and various other items. The successful operation was highlighted by SP Rakesh Ranjan in a press conference held on Saturday at his office room in the Collectorate.

The raid team, led by the DSP headquarters and comprised of officers such as Tandwa police station in-charge Vijay Kumar Singh, Piparwar police station in-charge Govind Kumar, Simaria police station in-charge Vivek Kumar, Piparwar police station SI Rupesh Kumar Mahato, Dilip Kumar Baski, Tikwanand Bhagat, and several district force personnel, played a crucial role in the operation.
