Two Italians undergo scanning for coronavirus in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 17: Two Italian nationals who checked in at a city hotel were reported by the management to Health minister Banna Gupta at 7 pm this evening. The Minister, taking swift action, directed the District Civil Surgeon to conduct immediate tests on the two Italian visitors. The Civil Surgeon along with a surveillance team visited the hotel and questioned the two Italians and did medical scanning. At the time of going to press, the team was carrying out detailed medical investigation and may be quarantined. The DC is monitoring the situation so that the Italian citizens do not face any hassle.

It is reported that the two Italian citizens have been in Jamshedpur since January 3 this year and thus, it is assumed that they may not be Coronavirus carriers.
