Jamshedpur, March 17 : In a major road mishap, two persons died while three others were injured when two trucks collided with each other on the NH-6 near Barshol police station area under Baharagora block. The injured has been admitted to Baharagora Primary Health Center. Those died are yet to be identified.
The condition of one of the injured is critical and has been sent to Tata Main Hospital for better treatment. Confirming the incident, the Badshol police station official said that the body of the dead was sent to the post-mortem. However, the dead bodies are yet to be identified.
One of the two trucks was going towards Kolkata from Jamshedpur and another was coming from Kolkata to Jamshedpur on NH-6 near Barshol police station when they collided. In head on collision, truck driver and his associate driver died on the spot. While another truck driver and two other cleaners were seriously injured.
An eye witness said that the stretch where mishap took place is used by heavy vehicles and long distance buses coming from different parts of Jharkhand for going to Bengal, Odisha through Ghatshila and Baharagora. Baharagora to Jamsola (in Odisha- a stretch of 6 km on NH-6) has led to mishaps. Over 1 lakh vehicles including long distances buses between Jharkhand and Odisha ply on this stretch daily.
