Two day martyrdom day of Jivan Singh commences in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Under the aegis of Rangreta Mahasabha, the martyrdom day of Rangreta Guru�s son, immortal martyr Baba Jeevan Singh�s 314th martyrdom day observance commenced today at the Transport Maidan in Agrico.

Damdami Taksal missionary Gyani Charanjit Singh, while casting light on the martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur�s martyrdom and the life of Baba Jeevan Singh observed, �Mughul Ruler Aurangzeb was a religious man as was Guru Teg Bahadur.


A religious person should have righteous intents. Aurangzeb�s intent and his way of executing power were wrong and these resulted in failure while Guru Teg Bahadur�s intent of protecting the Hindu religion was a Divine drive that resulted in his and his disciples� Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Dayala Ji�s martyrdom.�


This is the first time in Eastern India that the two day Kirtan Durbar has been organized. Eminent poets, narrators and singers participated in today�s proceedings. They included Bhai Samsher Singh Baba Vidhichand from Punjab, Hajuri Ragi Gyani Rajnish Singh from Takht Sri Harminder Sahib, Patna, Historian Sardar Jaswant Singh, the chairman of Baba Jeevan Singh Bhalai Trust, Chandigarh and Gyani Jasbir Singh Mattewala, Bibi Jasbir Kaur Dimpi.

Devotees numbering 15 thousand including Minority Commission vice president Sardar Gurudev Singh Raja, Sardar Gurvinder Singh Sethi, Takht Shri Harmindar Sahib Patna managing committee vice president Sardar Indrajit Singh, chief minister�s representative Pawan Agrawal, Ravindra Singh Rinku of Veer Khalsa Dal, participated in the Langar.

Prior to the commencement of the program, a procession with Guru Granth Sahib and Panch Pyare started from Tuila Dungri Gurudwara. A flower bedecked truck carried the religious Guru Granth Sahib led by the youth on Bullet motorcycles.
The two day function commenced at the Agrico Transport Maidan with recitation Baba Shri Surendra Singh Ji�s ardaas. Sardar Tarsem Singh conducted this event.
