Two critically injured in mishap

Jamshedpur: Two persons got critically injured after being knocked down by a truck near Jubilee Park gate at Sakchi on Sunday.

They were taken to Tata Main Hospital where their condition remained touch-and-go. Sources said the incident occurred when the truck hit the motorcycle at high speed.

The bike was thrown away and the riders were injured severely. One of them fell unconscious while the other was semi-conscious. Local police rushed the victims to the hospital.

Commuters stopped the truck and assaulted the driver, who was rescued and arrested by cops. Police said reckless driving by the truck driver led to the mishap.
