Jamshedpur, July 10: In a joint operation of CRPF and District Armed force headed by Rural SP Shailendra Kumar Sinha and Second�in�Command�officer CRPF 193 Ashish Kumar launched a drive against the Maoists in Ghatshila Police Station Area.
In the sequence at 9 am on Friday when the team reached Chengjora Village they saw two men in their motorcycle rushing towards the forest, said East Singhbhum SSP Anoop T Mathew talking to the media persons on Friday evening.
SSP further informed that the team stopped the duo and started inquiring. Both of them told their names-Kalachand Pal, father Banmani Pal resident of Mahtam under Ghatshila Police Station. Other was Simanto Pal, father name Purnchand Pal also the resident of Mahtam under Ghatshila Police Station.
�The team when started searching their belongings recovered rangdaari (levy)�of Rs 2,50,000, One country made pistol, 3 bullets of 8MM, Maoists paper along with two mobile phones and one passion pro motorcycle�, added SSP Mathew.
Both the arrested when questioned said that they were taking the extortion money from Ashok Agarwal, Ghatshila to Maoist Rahul Aalias Ranjeet Pal. They confessed about delivering the rangdaari (levy)�money several times in the past also, added Senior Cop.
