Two arrested in Jamshedpur with stolen scooty

Jamshedpur, June 3: Birsanagar police have successfully apprehended two individuals along with a stolen scooty in a recent operation. The arrested suspects have been identified as Rohit Karuva alias Karchu, a resident of Birsanagar Zone Number 1, and Ajay Mukhi alias Badka, a resident of Zone Number 6. The police have also recovered the stolen scooty from the accused.

Providing details of the incident, Station In-charge Prabhat Kumar stated that Sub-Inspector Naval Kishore Das was on patrol late Friday evening when he noticed two youths pushing a scooty near Zone No. 1B Daspada. Suspecting foul play, Naval Kishore approached them, prompting both individuals to abandon the scooty and attempt to flee. The police swiftly gave chase, apprehended the suspects, and commenced their questioning. Subsequently, both individuals admitted to the theft of the scooty. During the interrogation, it was revealed that the stolen scooty was looted in Telco’s Khadangjhar in the past. The suspects explained that they were pushing the scooty as it had run out of fuel. Station In-charge Prabhat Kumar further disclosed that both individuals have a criminal history and have previously served jail sentences.
