Two arrested for posing as officers in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Two persons have been arrested by Bardwan police for posing as officers checking vehicles and extorting money from them near Bardwan Cutting Road in West Bengal adjoining Patmada in East Singhbhum district. Both are residents of Telco Police Station area of Jamshedpur. They were identified as Ganesh Sharma and Subroto Banerjee. Police have recovered a fake identity card, Rs 10,000, car from them. An FIR has been lodged against both of them for violence and cheating at Bardwan police station.

Police reached the spot on information. On questioning, both of them said that they had come from Delhi and took a surprise inspection by taking direct orders.
