Jamshedpur: A woman identified as Ayushi Vandan (named changed) on Tuesday denied having an obscene video chat with the Health Minister Banna Gupta. The woman, who is a senior activist of Congress Party, has alleged that the video that is being circulated on social media is a morphed version and that she has falsely been dragged with the Minister.
In a video released by the Minister’s office, the woman said that she has been associated with Congress for the last 9 years. She has been meeting ministers for party programmes. The Health Minister is like his brother Banna Gupta. This video affair has ruined her reputation. In this case, she has lodged a complaint with the police.
“The video that is being circulated is a morphed version. I was chatting with my husband but it has been morphed using my picture ,” she said in a statement.
She has demanded an investigation into the matter and has asked the authorities to take action against those who are responsible for the morphed video. She has also expressed concern that her reputation has been tarnished due to the video.
“I am a woman activist, and my reputation is everything to me,” she said. “The fact that someone has tried to manipulate a video and make it seem like I was present during video chat with the Health Minister is deeply concerning to me.” She said that she is willing to cooperate with any investigation into the matter to clear her name.
“ The incident highlights the potential for misinformation and fake news to spread rapidly on social media, and the importance of verifying information before sharing it,” said an official.
Meanwhile, Banna Gupta has already denied allegations of engaging in sexually explicit conversations with a woman in a video chat.
The allegations surfaced when a video of a conversation between the Minister and an unidentified woman were leaked online. The conversation reportedly took place over a period of several weeks and contained explicit language and sexual content.
The Minister stated that the allegations were completely false and that he had never engaged in any inappropriate behaviour with anyone.
“I want to be very clear that I have never engaged in any inappropriate behaviour with anyone, and certainly not with this woman,” he said. “The video that have been circulating are not reflective of the kind of conversations that I have with people.”
The Minister also called for an investigation into the source of the leaked video and said that he would fully cooperate with any inquiry.
The allegations have sparked outrage on social media, with many calling for the Minister’s resignation. However, some have also expressed skepticism about the authenticity of the video and have called for a thorough investigation before any conclusions are drawn.
