Initial counting on Monday shows the newcomer party surging ahead of the ruling DMK and the NDA alliance.

• TVK Leads: The TVK currently leads in approximately 80 constituencies.

• DMK Trails: The ruling DMK, led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, follows with leads in 54 seats.

• NDA Standings: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which includes the AIADMK and BJP, trails with leads in 44 constituencies.
