Seraikela: A large number of people turned up at the Akhan Yatra Mela organized annually in Seraikela on the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Tusu.
Several lakhs of people participated in the worship of Maa Akarshani.
The worship took place some 700 feet high atop a hill. The MLA of Kharsawan Krishna Gagrai also attended the puja and congratulated the devotees.
Besides the temple of Goddess Maa Akarshani, Mirgi Chingra is another place to visit during the annual event. Every year, a large number of people visit Seraikela to visit these places on Makar Sankranti and Tusu.
