Chaibasa: The discovery of a male tusker’s carcass near Manikpur village has sparked concern and outrage across West Singhbhum. Villagers found the lifeless elephant early in the morning just outside the village boundary, within the Jaitgarh police station limits of the Jagannathpur subdivision.

The news spread rapidly, drawing large crowds and creating a wave of tension throughout the Kolhan forest range.
