Jamshedpur, Sep 7: The 29th IMF East Zone Sport Climbing Championship on Sunday entered its second day at the TSAF Sport Climbing Academy, Jamshedpur, with over 100 climbers from Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal competing in Lead, Boulder, and Speed events across categories.

The atmosphere was charged with energy as athletes delivered thrilling performances, particularly in the Lead and Speed finals.

In the Women’s Lead final, TSAF climber Anisha Verma claimed first place with a commanding climb, while Kiran Singh Thakur finished second and Aastha Rani Bhuyan secured third.

In the Men’s Lead final, Aman Verma from TSAF stole the show with a powerful display to take the top spot, followed by Ronit Bandra in second and Suraj Singh in third.

The Sub Junior Girls Speed final saw Manisha Hansda race to victory, ahead of Sita Singh Sardar and Arati Gagrai. Meanwhile, in the Junior Girls Lead final, Nandani Singh emerged champion, with Savitri Samad and Sangita Tiyu taking second and third respectively.
Climbers impressed the audience with sharp route reading, quick decisions on dynamic moves, and strong finishes on the wall. With Boulder and Speed finals still to come, the championship promises more excitement before concluding on September 8.
