Secures 13 medals including 6 gold
Jamshedpur, August 17: The Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) Sport Climbing Academy made a remarkable mark at the Independence Day Cup 2024 (Sub-junior national lead and speed competition), clinching an impressive tally of 13 medals, including 6 gold.
Competition held in 2 different categories Youth C and Youth D– Male & Female, took place in Bengaluru from August 15, 2024.
The competition featured more than 110 athletes from across the country. Representing TSAF Sport Climbing Academy, a contingent of 18 young athletes from various grassroots centers participated in the event, demonstrating their exceptional climbing prowess.
Held at the Yavanika Climbing Wall in Bengaluru, the competition was organized by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation. The TSAF athletes, accompanied by their grassroots coaches and team manager, travelled to Bengaluru on August 13 and returned triumphantly on August 18.
The academy’s athletes showcased their skill and determination, bringing home a total of 13 medals: 6 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze, solidifying TSAF’s position as a powerhouse in the sport climbing community.
