Jamshedpur, January 17: Athletes from Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) delivered a stellar performance at the All-India Open Sport Climbing Championship 2025, clinching 28 medals across various categories. The four-day event, held at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata, from January 13 to 17, showcased the foundation’s dominance in both bouldering and lead climbing.

Among TSAF’s contingent of 43 participants (24 male and 13 female athletes, along with six instructors), the medal haul included 14 golds, 10 silvers, and 4 bronzes. The achievements highlighted TSAF’s dedication to nurturing grassroots talent and promoting sport climbing at the national and international levels.

Notable winners included:
- Junior Boys: Sagar Lohar (Gold, Bouldering), Sonu Jamuda (Gold, Lead; Silver, Bouldering), and Vijay Sardar (Bronze, Bouldering).
- Sub-Junior Boys: Shankar Singh Kuniya dominated with two golds in Bouldering and Lead, while Mora Burjuly earned two silvers in the same events. Sunil Mahato and Anish Mahato added bronze medals.
- Sub-Junior Girls: Aditi Modak bagged a gold in Bouldering and a bronze in Lead, with Champa Lamay securing silver in Lead and bronze in Bouldering.
- Open Women: Sudha Rani Mahato and Nitu Mahato struck gold in Bouldering and Lead, respectively, while Neha Mahato added a silver in Bouldering.
- Open Men: Ranjan Pradhan won silver in Lead, and Odisha’s Subhransu Sekhar earned bronze in both Bouldering and Lead.
- Junior Girls: Puja Sinku shone with double golds in Bouldering and Lead, followed by Munni Padiya with two silvers, and Devki Mathyan securing two bronzes.
This remarkable achievement further cements TSAF’s reputation as a leader in the sport climbing arena.
