Jamshedpur, June 22: Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) is all set to organize Mount Kanamo Expedition from August 18- 26 August 2017 for Non-Tata Steel employees.
According to a press communique issued on Thursday, the cost of the expedition for each participant is Rs 27000/. The cost includes stay in Manali (inclusive of meals), transfer from Manali � Kaza � Manali, stay in tents in Kaza, homestay in Kibber, tented accommodation at summit camp, services of a guide for trek, food during the trek, Equipment � sleeping bag, mattress, tents, expert TSAF Staff to make expedition safe and successful, camping charges, permit charges, transfer from Kaza to Kibber.
The cost does not include any train/ airfare to reach Manali, any en route/ personal expenses, Insurance, Bottled mineral water, any expenses incurred due to any factors beyond our control like a natural calamity/ man-made calamity. Travel Itinerary of the expedition : 18th Aug 2017: Reporting at Manali by 5:00 pm, 19th Aug : Manali � Kaza by Road [8-9 hours] Drive for 8-9 hrs over Rohtang La (3978M) and Kunzum La (over 4551M) to Kaza. Overnight stay in tents in Kaza.
On 20th Aug: Morning at leisure to acclimatize. After lunch, drive to Kaza market to buy personal things. Back to Kaza in the evening. Rest of the evening at leisure. On 21th Aug: Day Three: Kaza to Kibber. Tent wind up at Kaza..Drive to Kibber Village. Short acclimatization hike and visit Kibber village.
22th Aug: � Day Four: Kibber � Hike to Advance Camp � Kibber this trekking is considered part of the acclimatization process, fundamental in the expedition. 23th Aug : Day Five: Occupy Advance Camp. The trek to Advance Camp lasts around 5 hours. 24th Aug: Climb from Advance camp to the summit and return to Camp. The group will get up very early in the morning, have breakfast and start climbing.
On 25th Aug: � Day Seven: Advance Camp to Kibber, descend to Kibber after a 2-hour trek. The group will have the day free to share those emotions experienced throughout the expedition.
On 26th Aug: � Day Eight: Kibber to Manali Drive back to Manali from Kaza via Kunzum La and Rohtang La. Dispersal from Manali at 6:00pm. Expedition ends.
